Team Members

Payton W, Team Leader

Payton is the team leader. He leads the other team members by assigning them tasks and making sure they get them done appropriatly and on time. He got started in this class because he has always wanted to become an engineer. He took the first one and thought it wasn't for him, he wanted to build and fabricate objects. He then found out that an additional Industrial tech class opened up and that class was Intro to power, energy, and mechanized systems, the base class for the cat racing club route. After the class, Payton would like to go down to the University of Texas at Austin to get a Masters degree in Mechanical engineering with a minor in Industrial Design.

Connor M, Team Member

Connor wants to go to college to get a degree in electrical engineering and business. He wanted to be in the class because he loves to do hands on activities and construction and loves to build cars. He went through the intro class and the robotics class and decided to go on to make the car. Connor brings many skills and views to the team.

Mr. Bohlken is our instructor. He has been doing this for a while and has been very helpful when we were stuck on parts of the fabrication.

Dave B, Team Member

Dave would like to go into engineering, but as of yet, is undecided. Dave is a curious mind. He took the class to learn how to build cars and mechanical objects in general. Dave has brought many good ideas to the team and has assisted in the fabrication of many components. Dave went through the robotics course and intro course, and is now on our team. Dave has taken particularly well to the plasma cutting and the welding aspects of our fabrication.

John B, Team Member

John is one of the junior members on the green team. John knows he wants to go to college but is also undecided. John took this class after he took the intro class and the robotics course. John participated in the course because he likes to build and race cars as well as learn more about them. John has been one of our main designers, as he has made the clay model, and has been able to draft our ideas in a clear manner.

Liam R, Team Member

Liam wants to be an engineer for the Air Force, but is currently trying to start an entertainment company. Liam brings a certain creativity that some of us don't possess. He wanted to be on the team because he was curious about the process, and to experience the procedure of building a car.

Sam M, Team Member

Sam wants to be an architect with an emphasis on acoustics. Sam took the class because he wanted to build something. Sam has been one of the main fabricators on the project. Sam took the class and has been a big asset to the whole team.

TJ M, Team Member

Tj is one of the main fabricators in the group as he has more experience with the fabrication of objects due to his job. He has experience with tools many haven't used, such as the pipe bender and soldering iron. Tj has a certain swagger to him.

Adam L, Team Member

Adam has become a very crucial part of the team by providing his skiils and knowledge as a welder. He started out on the black team, but we adopted him into the green team. He plans on furthering his welding education after high school.
